Litti, along with chokha, is a complete meal originated from the Indian state of Bihar. It is also popular in Jharkhand and parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Litti chokha is a famous street food of Bihar, India. It is pocket friendly for the working classes and also healthy in terms of proteins and nutrients. It is made of whole-wheat flour and stuffed with sattu (gram flour powder). Cooking and serving of litti is very important to realise the actual taste of this food. The best littis should be cooked in low fire of cow dung cake so that the littis are baked properly and the inside fillings are cooked and mixed well. The taste of litti lies in its stuffed material, namely sattu. Dry sattu is mixed with chopped garlic and ginger and some Indian dry species to give a tangy flavour, and after the litti is baked it is broken into pieces, and hot ghee is poured all over it. It is best served with raw onions soaked in lemon and vinegar, chokha (spicy mashed potatoes) and chicken/meat gravy. This is a small food cart which sells this amazing and tasty litti chokha balls in Viman nagar. Must try! Price 40 ₹ Taste 5/5

It’s a very old place near Pune railway station. It’s a very busy small joint which servers’ dairy product. This place is famous for all of its milk products. Have been visiting this place for many years now!

Lassi - lassi is super creamy. The quality of the milk that they use is evident right from the very first bite. They serve the lassi with a layer of Malai on it. It is very thick and tastes amazing. Must try!

Basundi and pista kulfi - famous during summers. These guys serve kulfi loaded with basundi. It is extra sweet and I personally like it a lot!

Hit dry fruit milk - this one is my favourite. They serve piping hot milk with lots of dry fruit. The dry fruits enhance the taste to another level. Must try during winters!

Bite O Meter

Welcome to my Blog. I'm a Foodie and I love to explore new places and try out new food! Pani Puri & Chicken Biryani are one of my guilty Pleasures ;) Currently pursuing Masters in Hospitality management. I Love cooking and trying out new dishes. Not a chef but I try my best to make my dish taste amazing! I have been food blogging since a long time now.  I would like to give a brief about my food blogging page. My food blog consists of the information about Pune city in general and its cuisine.  I selected to write food blogs about Pune city because I have been born and brought up in the same city and Pune has always been close to my heart. Coming from hotel industry food has always inspired me to go and try out new places. May it be a street vendor or a fancy restaurant, I have visited most of them. The website also has some of my very own created food recipes. Also, it has food blogs where I have posted a number of food places which I visited in Pune city. The posts include pictures of the food, a short description about the food, my experience, ratings which includes taste, value for money and ambience. It is called the bite o meter.

My food journey started when I was studying my Bachelors in hotel management. We had a food production module in which we learnt cooking various cuisines such as French, Italian, Mexican, Indian and more. Indian cuisine will always be one of my favourites. Since then food has always fascinated me. I started food blogging years back when posting food pictures on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook were in trend.  People love hearing my food experiences as they say I have good taste of food and I have always been genuine about my feedback regrading food.
